Smart talks: Abdulla Alshuaibi

Desde que entré en el mundo Cayenne "customizado" hace ya un año, he conocido a gente excepcional, las últimas "smart talks" son claro ejemplo de ello. No os podéis perder estas "conversaciones" con Mike Ngo, fundador y dueño de Eurowise y con Harrison Schoen, un aventurero que decidió "mudarse" a un Cayenne y recorrer USA mientras nos muestra su experiencia a través de fotos y vídeos excepcionales.

 

Hoy le toca el turno a Abdulla Alshuaibi, fundador y dueño del taller Alpha Works en la ciudad de Abu Dhabi donde hace unos trabajos de locura, customizaciones extremas enfocadas a disfrutar en el desierto. Ha trabajado con bases de toda índole. Bentley, Mustang, 911... Pero ahora está muy centrado en los Cayenne. Con al menos tres Cayenne en su haber,  Abdulla está trabajando para abrir otro taller dedicado única y exclusivamente a dicho modelo.
Estas "Smart talks" pretenden que todos conozcamos un poco mejor al personaje detrás de las publicaciones en redes sociales.

RENO: How and when did Alpha Works start?
Abdulla: Alpha started back in 2018 it's was a detailing shop that I bought and converted into custom fabrication and fiber glass body work shop.

 


R: What did you do before you started Alpha Works?
A: Before alpha works actually I had 2 garages 
Speed technology & EDR MotorSports but due my job I had to move from Dubai to Abu Dhbai and let them go.

RENO: What is your favorite project throughout your career?
A: So far in my car building courier my fav projects that I've done are the GT86 Safari & Baja mustang.

 


RENO: What future project could you tell us about?
A: Next 2 major builds are a Baja spec Porsche Cayenne and retro 964 Safari. 

RENO: How do you see the future of Porsche Cayenne preparation?
A: Coming from building long  travel trucks and owning couple of I beamed and linked trucks I would say that the Porsche Cayenne platform is one great base for projects that's still yet to be explored fully. 

 


RENO: Do you think that the Porsche Cayenne will go up in price due to the fever for customizations?
A: That's for sure in UAE in the past 2 years prices did go up abit.

 

RENO: What is the base price of a Porsche Cayenne in Abu Dhabi? 955? 957?
A: Range of $10,000.

 

RENO: Do you take orders outside your city and your country?
A: Yes I do.

RENO: If you had to quit your job, what would you like to do?

A: Actually I am quitting my job in few months to focus on designing and building cars. 
RENO: Your favorite car when you were a kid.
A: Hemi Baracuda 1971 

 

RENO: A book.

A: Pizza.

A: Alberta Canada. 

RENO: A dream to fulfill.

A: Have a farm far from the city with my team to build crazy cars.

A: 7-8 am
